24,364. Dickson, W. K.-L. Nov. 6. Drawings to Specification. Stereoscopes.-Relates to apparatus for taking and viewing panoramic or other stereoscopic pictures. The pictures are taken on one film in two parallel strips, the views being laterally displaced through the distance between two stereoscopic lenses. Lateral inversion, to avoid severing and re-uniting, is obtained by reflecting-prisms. The two parallel views are obtained by means of non-dispersive prisms for which mirrors may be substituted. The pictures may be viewed in a stereoscope fitted with non-dispersive prisms set to bring the pictures to a common level. The photograph may be mounted on rollers, one of which may be operated by hand to produce a traverse. The Provisional Specification refers to arrangements for lighting the views as transparencies, or by reflected light when they are opaque.
