Abstract
521,075. Stereoscopic kinematography. BOSCH GES., R. Nov. 18, 1938, No. 33509. Convention date, Nov. 18, 1937. [Class 97 (i)] A system for taking stereoscopic moving pictures comprises objectives 3, 7, Fig. 1, and two pairs of inclined parallel mirrors 1, 2 and 5, 6. The left-hand view is formed on the filin 4 by rays doubly reflected at the mirrors 1, 2, and the right-hand view by rays doubly reflected at the mirrors 5, 6, the two bundles of rays crossing each other between one objective, e.g., 3, and the second mirror, e.g., 2, of the pair associated with the other objective. A positive film printed from the resulting negative film with the emulsion sides of the films in contact may be projected in an ordinary projector with the picture side facing away from the light source, and the projected image will be correct when viewed from the projector side of the screen. If projected with the picture side facing the light source, the reversed image similarly seen may be corrected by viewing the screen 9, Fig. 3, through a pair of eyepieces 11, 12 by reflection in an inclined mirror 10.
