Abstract

26,265. Richard, J. July 26, [Convention date]. Stereoscopic apparatus.-Comprises means for viewing correctly stereoscopic pictures taken with an ordinary camera without the necessity for transposing the right- and left - hand pictures. With each eyepiece f is employed an optical combination consisting of a reflecting prism h and a prism g in the form of a tetrahedron, having two faces g<1>, g<2> at 90 degrees to one another and the other two faces g<3>, g4 at angles of 45 degrees to the faces g<1>, g<2>. The whole of the area of the base of the tetrahedron g is in contact with the prism h. The picture c is placed before a frosted-glass screen d and viewed through the prisms g, h and the eyepieces f. Focusing is effected by a rack and pinion p, q. The prism h reverses the picture vertically and the tetrahedron g produces both a lateral and vertical inversion of the picture, which is consequently only seen as laterally reversed. The eyepieces are mounted in separable plates which may be adjusted according to the interocular distance. Specifications 2142/08 and 27,284/09 are referred to.
