Abstract

190,223. Warburton, F. G. Sept. 12, 1921. Covers and lids; switch mechanism interlocking with lids.-A casing for mining-type switch gear is formed with accurately fitting vertical faces on the box and lid, one face surrounded by the other and the lid fitting wholly within the box. The casing is cylindrical and contains means for locking the lid and preventing operation of the switch till the lid is locked. The switch handle F cannot be rotated to close the switch till a projection d on the box has raised a lever c out of engagement with a fork on the switch arm f, and the lid must also be accurately in place to allow sliding bars h operated by the handle F to enter recesses i. Additional locking means are provided in the spring-actuated plungers j.
