Abstract

254,498. Callender's Cable & Construction Co., Ltd., and Wilson, A. E. June 20, 1925. Cases and covers.- A house-service fuse box A of cast-iron has a fall-down lid B provided with hinge pins B<1>, B<2> cast integral therewith and engaging with two lugs C, D cast on the box. One lug C has a hole, cup or recess C' whilst the other is slotted or recessed at D' so that, when the lid is opened, the pin B<2> can be lifted and withdrawn and the lid removed by withdrawing the pin B'. A projection G on the box cooperates with a catch H on the lid and the recesses C', D' are made with enough clearance to enable the catch to be lifted over the projection. The lid can only be removed when its position relative to the box is within narrow limits, as beyond these limits the lugs C, D engage with the lid as at E.
