Abstract
275,148. Veit, Son &. Co., Inc., (Assignees of Gaess, H. J.). July 29, 1926, [Con. vention date]. Fastenings for boxes.-A box for powder in compressed form is made of composition and the sections 2, 3, Fig. 1, thereof are secured in the closed position by a bulb 12 on a pin 11 fixed to one section engaging a split socket 13 in the other section. In a modification, Fig. 4, the lowest section 3<1> is pivoted to the middle section 4<1> by a vertical pin 11<1> and the hinge plates 6<1> are extended to form a prong 15 which snaps into a depression 16 in the rim of the section 3<1> to lock it in position when it is turned under the section 4<1>; the pin 11<1> is formed with a bulb 12<1> which engages a split socket in the top section 2<1>.
