Abstract

354,574. Padlocks. ROBINSON, G. C. and JONES, T., Combination Works, Willenhall, Staffordshire. Aug. 29, 1930, No. 25799. [Class 44.] In a padlock in which a paper seal can be inserted between the casing and a pivoted cover, adapted to be engaged by the pivoted hasp 13, the main part 1 of the casing and the cover 26 are formed as castings, the part 1 being formed with a projecting block 5 carrying the hinge pin 6 for the cover. The casing is completed by a plate 25, which fits on the reduced ends of the pivots 7, 8, and is secured by riveting the ends. A ward plate 14 is disposed between two pivoted locking levers 9 for the hasp and extends between the springs 10 of the levers so as to prevent lateral movement thereof. The barrel 19 for the substantially flat key 21 is formed with reduced ends 22, 23, the end 23 engaging in a recess 24 in the back of the casing.
