Padlocks; seal locks. - A padlock of the type in which a flat key and a slotted barrel let into but not projecting through the back of the casing are used, has a ward plate or plates 10 apertured for the reception of the barrel 8 and slotted at 11 for the passage of the key, and the shackle 4 has a tail piece 14 to engage the locking levers 6 but slotted to pass the ward plates. The padlock may have a hinged cover to take a paper seal between it and the front plate of the casing.
