Windows; daylight reflectors and refractors; glazing.-Reflecting or refracting glass plates 1, for lights or windows of cellars, basements, roofs, &c., are made of any desired shape in section, and are rabbeted at their front horizontal and back vertical edges to receive wood or metal sash bars 7, 8, secured together at their crossing-points by screws 9. The front of the sides and back of the horizontal rails of the frame 4 are rabbeted and recessed to receive the glass plates and ends of the sash bars 7, 8. For roofs, the edges of the glass plates are painted with marine glue or the like. The sash bars may be made hollow or of U-shape in section, and the edges may be turned over the plates.
