Abstract
13,484. Leahy, J. J., and Parmiter, A. July 2. Belt gearing.- Relates to means for transferring a belt from one pulley to another. The roller 10 is journalled, under the belt, in a frame 14, which is pivoted at 15, in a box 2 of a bar 1, and provided with a lug 16 which bears on a spring 17. Both ends of the frame are provided with cords by which the roller may be tilted into contact with the belt. Fig. 4 shows the belt 9 being shifted from the pulley 7 to the pulley 6. The bar 1 has sockets 3, which fit over and mav be clamped upon the supports 4.
