A holder for two bayonet - capped lamps has sockets formed by two pieces of tube e attached to a third d, Fig. 2, which has three slots f<1> to receive arms f of a ring, Fig. 4, and is externally screw-threaded to receive a coupling- ring g, holding a flanged cap i ; a cord grip k is screwed on the cap i. An insulator placed in the tube d, below the angular arms f, is of the form shown in Fig. 6, containing a central rod with two attached spring plungers p<1>, and two other rods with spring plungers, which are put obliquely through opposite sides of the insulator, so that the plungers are in position to make contact with the lamps, while the three rods may be connected with the supply wires to place the lamps either in series or parallel, as desired. The wires are first passed through transverse holes in the insulator. A shade is held between the coupling-ring g and the projecting arms f.
