6851. Kemp, C. W. April 2. Incandescent lamps, holders for. A holder consists of a cord grip and cap e, a metal casing a with bayonet slots or other means of attachment to a lamp, an insulating-body carrying spring plungers, and two screw-threaded rings/, c. The casing a is made with a collar or with tongues a' to support a globe or shade b. In connecting the parts, the insulating-body is first attached to the cap e by engaging dovetail projections on the cap with corresponding recesses in the insulator, the upper screw ring f being on the cap. The casing a is placed in the shade, and secured there by the outer screw ring c. The casing a is then passed on to the insulating-body, being made with indentations to enter guide-grooves in the latter, and is.clamped to the rim of the cap e by screwing the upper ring f into the outer one c.
