A lamp holder has a plain casing a provided with two stamped projections b to engage bayonet grooves d in an insulating-block c, containing an ordinary switch, and carrying a screw socket n to receive the lamp. A porcelain ring m is screwed on to the socket n, and bears against the casing a so as to hold the projections b in recesses f of the grooves d. The switch handle h, passing through a perforation in the casing, is detachably secured to the switch. The handle is retained by providing it with an annular groove o, with which engage spring arms p secured on the casing ; or a screw in a lug on the casing may engage the annular groove ; or a screw may pass through the handle into the switch.
