Abstract
14,476. Davies, J. L. June 29. Drawings to Specification. Globe holders for electric arc lamps. The globe may have an out-turned lip to rest upon blade springs carried on a horizontal ring, which is made in halves, and is united by two screws after being placed on the globe neck ; two projections on the ring are engaged with bayonet slots in projections below the base of the lamp, so that the springs hold the rim of the globe against the base. In another arrangement, the globe has a small neck at its lower end, which is supported by a washer, a helical spring, a disc, and a screw, on a nut placed on a screwed extension of the lower carbon-holder of the lamp ; a shoulder on the nut bears on the inside of the globe.
