Abstract

107,705. Gabell, H. C. Oct. 16, 1916. Supporting.-An electric-lamp support is provided at one end with a helical spring socket A<1> for receiving the screwed lampholder, and at the other end with a helical spring connector G<2> of the same diameter and pitch as the screw on the lampholder for insertion into the socket of pocket lamp cases. The joints of the links A, D, G of the support consist of helical springs A<2>, D<1> engaging one another, the interior of one of the helical springs D<1> on each link being of the same pitch and diameter as the external thread on the electric-lamp holder. An insulated lead J, preferably passing through the joints, connects insulated contact studs C, I inserted respectively in the spring socket A<1> and the spring connector G<2>, the circuit being completed through the links A, D, G. The support may be lengthened or shortened by adding or removing a link.
