Abstract

4934. Regnart, C. C. Feb. 25. Holders; caps; bulbs.-Double-ended tubular lamps are mounted closely in line in a troughshaped reflector by means of holders 7 having spring plungers engaging cup-shaped contacts 5 in the recessed ends of the lamps, which may fit over the holders. As shown, a porcelain reflector with embedded conductors 17, 18 is formed in sections held together by plug-andsocket connexions between the conductors. At one end of each section is a guide-piece 13 in which a holder 7 is slidably and removably mounted; successive holders are connected to the conductors 17, 18 alternately by links 20. The holders may each be formed in two parts with plug-and-socket connexions to facilitate removal of the lamps. A metal reflector may be used. According to the Provisional Specification, the holders may consist of flat springs fixed to the reflector.
