A cylindrical insulator A is made with two deep cavities to receive plungercarriers F, as shown in plan, Fig. 3. Each plunger - carrier is constructed as shown in section in Fig. 2, with an inclined hole into which the supply wire is passed through a tapered hole C in the insulator. The w i r e is secured by a screw E placed so as to be accessible o v e r the edge of the insulator, which may be recessed for the purpose, if necessary. The tapering of the hole C permits the end of the insulating-covering on the wire to be placed within it.
