An ordinary bayonet-joint casing s contains two cylindrical insulators g, h ; the lower one h has two circular recesses h<2> to receive cylindrical projections from the upper one g, and round holes are provided to receive the plungercarriers a and the supply conductors. Each spring plunger d is held in a cylindrical carrier a, threaded to receive a screw cap c, by which the end of a supply conductor is clamped on the carrier a after insertion through a hole in the screw cap ; the carrier a and the screw cap c are milled externally. The parts can be economically made in an automatic lathe. In a modification, the screw cap c is replaced by a notched flat-headed screw, the head of which enters a recess in an enlarged part of the plunger carrier, when its stem is screwed into an axial hole in the latter. The circular recesses h<2> and the corresponding projections on the insulators may be varied in arrangement.
