The driven shaft F is mounted loose on the motor shaft A, and carries, on pins secured in its flange F<1>, double pinions G, G'. The pinions G gear with a pinion E fixed to the shaft A and with a loose internal wheel H ; the pinions G<1> gear with a wheel D formed in one with a clutch disc C, which is movable along the shaft, so that it may engage either with the wheel H or with the fixed framing B. By holding the internal wheel stationary, by means of a brake h<1>, a slow motion is imparted to the shaft F ; by locking the clutch and the internal wheel together, the two shafts rotate as one ; by holding the clutch stationary, the shaft F is driven in the reverse direction.
