Abstract

Burnishing ; ornamenting.-Relates to worksupports for finishing-machines generally, but particularly applicable to edge-setting machines with stitch-wheels or other analogous small tools. Fig. 1 shows an elevation, and Fig. 2 a vertical section, of a part of a convenient arrangement. The table A is revolubly mounted in a stem A<2>, which is supported on a spring in the bracket B and can be depressed for the insertion of the work by means of a treadle E. The bracket B is revolubly mounted on a spindle G carried by the frame L of the machine, and can be adjusted vertically by a screw J. The tables may be supported by a weight instead of by the spring shown. It may be hinged to the stem A<2>, as shown in Figs. 4 and 5, and may have rollers M<3> mounted in a recess.
