Abstract

17,310. Pfister, T. Aug. 11. Ornamenting glass surfaces.-Glass is coated with adhesive material, and small particles of coloured glass (blind beads), are sprinkled on it. The surface is then varnished. Both surfaces may be so treated. The product may be used for ceiling or wall decoration, or stuck to a window, or placed between two glass. sheets. Wires, metal strips, or threaded beads may be used to outline the designs and imitate leading. The glass particles may first be spread in small circles or otherwise, and transparent varnish or other adhesive poured on and allowed to dry. This process is repeated, to obtain shaded colour effects. Metal strips may be affixed temporarily to outline the design. Or designs may be first moulded or pressed on softened glass, or made by use of sand blast.
