Abstract

186,562. Lamming, S. E. April 21, 1922. Skein-holders and swifts.-A holder for unwinding or rewinding skeins comprises three arms E, E<1>, F, F<1> of wire with shaped ends A, C, B secured by means of grooved plates G - - G3 and a nut K on a central spindle H. The spindle H revolves in a cramp M, by means of which the device may be secured to a convenient ledge when in use. The positions of the arms relative to the spindle H are adjustable for skeins of various sizes; they are also readily removable, for package of the device into a small compass, by slackening the nut K. In a modification, each arm is held by a separate securing-device.
