Skein holders and swifts.-A device for holding skeins of wool for winding from skeins into balls, or vice versa, of the kind comprising arms radiating from and rotating upon a pivot and adapted to be folded upon each other when out of use, comprises arms 1, 2, which interlock, as shown, in the operative position and are pivotally secured on the reduced shank 3a of a pin by a nut and washers 11, 12, which engage with shoulders 3b, 3<c> so as to prevent any obstruction to the free rotation cf the arms. One or more of the pegs 5 may be adjustable in a slot 6 or in holes to accommodate the skein.
