Abstract

186,102. Nieberding, J. May 18, 1921. Staging, suspended.- Stagmg 6 used in cleaning vessels in docks &c. is suspended from a derrick 3 hinged at 4 to a submersible portion of the dock, the derrick being adjusted to and from the vessel by tackle 5 from the dock side. The top end of the derrick may rest against the side of the vessel on a wooden fender 9. The staging is raised or lowered by tackle 7 operated from the staging. The derrick is of sufficient length to keep the staging above the water when the dock is submerged to its greatest depth.
