Abstract
185,677. White, A. E., (Signode System, Inc.). Nov. 17, 1921. Sealing.-A fastener or seal for box-straps and like binders comprises a back piece 3, Fig. 2, with downwardly and outwardly extending flanges 4 bent inwardly and upwardly at 5 so that it may be resiliently snapped into position over the meeting ends 1, 2 of a box-strap &c. The edges are then squeezed inwardly by a suitable tool to form the joint shown in Figs. 5 and 6, the first stage of the process causing the fastener to assume the form shown in Fig. 3.
