Abstract

Cam-actuated pumps; stroke, varying; revolving-cylinder pumps. - In pumps having pairs of rotary cylinders of the swash-plate type, the double-ended pistons 9 are provided centrally with self-adjusting revise antifriction blocks are held in spherical 'bearings 15 formed in shanks 17 screwed to the pistons at 18 to permit adjustment to take up wear. Locking plugs 19 are provided and central holes 16 in the blocks assist the lubrication. The cylinders are contained in rotors 4 slidably keyed at 3 to the driving-shaft 2, and they alternately register with passages 27, 28 or 29, 30 formed in the end-covers 31, 32 for inlet and discharge. The track-ring, which is pivoted on trunnions centrally of the pump casing 1, is adjusted in position through the link 20 by a screwed rod 23 mounted by spherical bearings 26 on the end cover 32 and rotated by a hand-wheel 24.
