Abstract
185,186. Coley, H. E., and Dickson, D. H. May 26, 1921. Atmospheric gas burners.-In a gas burner, air is entrained by a jet of gas issuing from a nipple B and partialLy mixed with the gas in a tube F, part of the mixture passing directly through a relatively small tube G to a central perforation d<1> of a burner plate D while the remainder passes into a mixing-chamber E, in which thorough mixing is effected, and thence to the perforated burner plate D. The burner plate D may be formed integrally with a cover C spaced from a box A so that the air is preheated by contact with the hot mixing-chamber E. A conical deflector H is arranged outside the tube G.
