Abstract

185,176. Wareham, S. L., and Panzner, J. F. May 24, 1921. Valves.-A rotary valve is formed with a central exhaust passage 24 communicating at one end with the exhaust pipe 16 and intermediately by ports 28 with the cylinder port 8. The inletpipe connection 15 communicates with chambers 27 around the central bore, and these chambers serve the cylinder through ports 29. Roller bearings are fitted at 23, 25, and packing-rings at 26, 30. Valve-gear.-The valve is rotated by a wormwheel 21 secured by bolts 22 so as to form a closure to that end of the valve.
