Universal joints.-Flexible joints and articulated connections, such as those of the chains used in military " tanks " and like tractors, are enclosed in a dirt-proof flexible sleeve a of rubber or rubber-composition, which is moulded or otherwise formed with helical corrugations in order to improve its flexibility and provide means of attachment to similarly-threaded parts b<1> of the joint b. The corrugations may be formed to fit undercut threads, and the ends of the sleeve may be strengthened.
