[Also in Group XXVI] A sealing boot for a ball-and-socket joint in vehicle steering linkages comprises a sleeve 10 of elastomeric material having relatively stiff end portions 12 and 14, a circumferential corrugation 17 and a part 18 formed with a circumferential series of pear-shapad bulges 19. In use, the ends 12 and 14 tightly grip the socket 15 and the ball pin 16 respectively.
