Abstract

178,377. Robestson, H. L. Aug. 17, 1921. Hoods of motor-cars are provided with fittings for attaching them to the windscreen, consisting of arms B supported by stop-hinges C from parts A secured to a cross-batten on the hood. The weight of the hood is supported on the bottom joint of the wind-screen by shoulders F, and the arms are held in position by pieces D<1>, D<2> fitting over the screen frame and held by thumb-screws E<1>, E'. When out of use the arms are held bv securing them to holding-up pieces H on the batten. Turn-button fastenings G may be fitted for the securing of side-curtains.
