In the construction shown in Figs. 1 and 3 the foundation a consists of canvas strips wound diagonally about the wires b. In a modification shown in Fig. 4 the foundation comprises a circumferential strip e with edges f doubled over the wires b, and a second circumferential strip g with its edges within the doubled-over parts of the strip e, the wired edges being reinforced by a canvas or like band d.
