Jackets and covers. - In rebuilding a worn tyre cover, the rubber is removed and one or more canvas strips 5 are applied to the fabric foundation 1. The edges of the strip 5 may be folded back before reaching the beads 2, with or without a reinforcing wire, cord, &c. 8, as shown in Fig. 3; or the edges may be lapped around the bead as shown in Fig. 4. The rubber tread 7 is then embodied as usual.
