Tyre attachments to rims.-The beaded edge of a tyre cover is formed of a number of wires, cords, or cables round which the fabric foundation of the cover is wrapped. The fabric 10, Fig. 2, is wrapped, at its edges around the anchor wires 12 and secured by rubber solution. A strip 16 may be fastened over the edge of the fabric 10. The wires 12 may be arranged in staggered formation as shown. Preferably, the wires adjacent to the inside edge of the head have more layers of fabric around them than those at the outside. The space between the wires may be filled with rubber which may be vulcanized with the tyre. Figs. 3, 4, and 5 illustrate modified arrangements. The invention may be applied to other types of bead than that illustrated.
