Distributing by condensers and transformers or generators.-In an alternating-current system 5, 6 the condenser 8 employed for improving the power factor of the circuit is reduced in size by working it at an increased voltage by connecting it across the lead 5 and the terminal of the extension 7 of the low-potential winding of the transformer 3. The arrangement may also be applied to an alternating-current generator.
