Equalizing load on generator; systems depending on the use of two or more machines.- For interchanging electric energy between two alternating current distribution circuits, according to the load conditions, a motor-generator set comprising an induction motor 6 and a synchronous generator 7 interlinks the two circuits 2, 9. The circuits may be of high and low voltage respectively and may be supplied through separate turbine-generator sets 1, 12. If the turbine set in the lower voltage circuit loses power, or if the frequency falls below the normal, part of the load is taken up by the motor generator.
