Abstract

289,568. Rickets, W. J. Feb. 2, 1927. Drawings to Specification. Charging batteries; supplying consuming devices from variable-speed generators. The accumulator is charged through a unidirectional current carrier of the kind comprising a metal and its oxide in contact with each other. With a direct current generator this displaces the usual cut-out. With a single phase alternator it operates as a rectifier. A three phase alternator may have one in each armature circuit, all circuits being in parallel with the battery. Specification 194,653 is referred to.
