Abstract

174,602. Compagnie Electro - MÚ- canique. Jan. 26, 1921, [Convention date]. Electromagnetic relays for accelerating a direct current motor. Each relay has two windings, a series winding in the power circuit, and a fine wire winding in the control circuit. The individual relays are constructed as shown, with a core 13 and U-shaped magnetic circuit 11 for the series winding 14, a pot magnet 15 for the fine wire winding 16, and a guided brass rod 19 carrying an armature 18 subject to the winding 16 and an armature 24 subject to the winding 14, the lower armature being adjustable by a screw 23. Disc contacts 26 are mounted on and insulated from the rod 19. The master controller and the accelerating contactors are provided with magnetic blow-outs.
