Floors and like surfaces, treating.-The rotating tool 15 of a machine for dressing floors or other surfaces is carried in a housing 16, which has feet 17 capable of rocking about the axis of the tool 15. The tool is driven by worm gearing 28 and a flexible shaft from a motor mounted on a wheeled carriage, which, in the form shown, carries a bag 24 to hold chips and dust sucked from the housing by a fan 23.
