[Class 83 (iii)] A work-table driving-mechanism for a gearhobbing machine is of the type comprising a pinion carried by the table and engaging both an internal and an external gear-wheel, each being combined with a worm wheel so that the motion imparted to the table depends upon the relative motions imparted to the two worm wheels, and is characterized in that the pinion p is carried below the table a on a stud o secured to the table, the worm wheel i with which the external gear-wheel is combined being spigotted in a cradle f carried on the bed of the machine and the worm wheel with which the internal gear-wheel is combined being also located in said cradle but spigotted on a part n of the table.
