Jackets.-A jacket a for conveying the heat up and around the sides of a kettle, saucepan, &c., is stamped from sheet metal in one operation with tongues c adapted to engage a series of slots d to adjust the jacket to vessels of different sizes. Serrations b around the upper edge are bent inwards to grip the vessel and a hole or slot g may be provided to accommodate the spout of a kettle. The lower edge. of the jacket may be turned up or provided with a U-shaped clip to strengthen it; cut-out and inwardly-turned projections i may be provided upon which the vessel rests.
