Abstract

17,701. Baynes, F. W. Dec. 18. Jackets.-A metal sheet 1 encircling a kettle, saucepan, &c. has internal supporting and spacing brackets 2, and is adjustable to suit different sizes of vessels, which are supported on the brackets, by means of a fly-nut and bolt 7 coacting with a slot 6. One of the brackets is extended to form a handle 5. In use, the hot gases from the stove pass up between the vessel and the sheet 1. In some cases, the top of the sheet is bent over to meet the sides of the vessel, and perforations are made in the sheet near the top.
