S u p p o r t s for articles to be heated.-In a device providing an air space below the bottom of a baking - pan or other cooking-vessel, the bottom plate A, Figs. 2 and 4, of the device is provided with a number of burred holes C and is so arranged that it is kept wholly or partly above the heating-surface, this being effected by burring some of the holes outwards as shown at C<1>, Fig. 2, by making one or more arch-like bends in it, or by turning two of its opposite edges downwards. The walls B of the device are preferably perforated and may extend wholly or partly round the space between the plate A and the base of the pan, and they may also enclose the sides of the pan. The bottom of the pan may rest on the edges of inwardly-burred holes C, or the pan may be otherwise supported with its bottom above the plate A.
