Abstract

171,870. British Electric Plant Co., Ltd., and Whitesmith, I. N. Oct. 16, 1920. Brush-holders.-In a brush-holder for dynamoelectric machines in which the brush is pressed forward in a guide by a spring-controlled lever 1, the latter is pivoted to the holder by means of a round steel rod 2 and is held in the inoperative position by a cam 4 on the lever engaging a shoulder 5 on the holder. The part of the lever which bears on the rod 2 is U-shaped so that it may be removed from the holder. A roller may be fitted on the rod 2.
