Moving-chamber apparatus. - Appartus for delivering poultry and like food or other material at certain intervals comprises a counterbalanced rocking lever l operated by water or finely divided material and connected to a bottomless compartmental box f so that one compartment is discharged through an aperture e in the base plate c at each movement of the rocking lever, or to a perforated slide moving beneath a hopper. The water or other operating material flows in a regulated stream from a tank t into a receiver m on the lever l until the weight n is overbalanced and the lever tilts, causing the water &c. to be discharged from the receiver m. The lever l is connected to the box f by a ratchet h with teeth or studs coacting with a pawl p carried by an arm o on the lever l, or where a perforated slide is employed this is connected to the arm o by a link.
