Abstract

171,276. Brown, E. W. Sept. 30, 1920. Coating-machines.-In a machine for wrapping cylindrical articles, an article is fed between an endless belt 2 and a track 31, and in its passage to the right depresses a lever 6 pivoted at 7. The other end 8 of the lever engages a bar 10 on a lever 11 carrying dippers 13 in a tank 14 of agglutinant and raises the dippers into engagement with the article with a rubbing contact. Jockey rollers 3 maintains the belt 2 in engagement. After a wrapper has been applied and the ends partly folded, agglutinant is applied to the folds by a similar device.
