Reciprocating-saw machines.-A hack saw, particularly intended for trimming large castings, has the saw frame r attached to slides q counted on guides p<2> carrying an adjustable countershaft p<1>. The guides p<2> are attached to a caddle j vertically adjustable on a central pillar d by a screw l and handle o. The pillar d rests by means of ball bearings e on a column c and can be rotated as desired and clamped by a screw f. The guides p<2> can be tilted on the saddle j by means of a hand-operated worm u<3> and a toothed segment u. The crank-disc t driving the saw frame is rotated through bevel gearing by a shait i driven from a shaft h<3> by means of a central shaft inside the pillar. A dash-pot w takes the weight of the saw on the hack stroke, the blade being set at a slight incline.
