Abstract
Substances of the nature of fatty acids are obtained by hydrogenizing the liquid resin, called "talloel," produced during the manufacture of cellulose from wood by the sodium sulphate process. The treatment with hydrogen may be effected under pressure and in the presence of a catalyst, such as nickel.
