Abstract

169,267. British Cellulose & Chemical Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Wilson, W. H. June 21, 1920. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Revolving-cylinder pumps for viscous liquids such as used in the manufacture of artificial silk &c. A disc 2, carried by a shaft 3 driven by worm gear &c., has a central rectangular open- . ing to contain a rectangular cross-head which slides on a block carried by an eccentric pin 11. The disc is bored radially to form a pair of cylinders in which work plungers 10<a>, 10<b>, formed in one with the cross-head. The disc rotates in a casing having a circumferential inlet chamber and an inlet branch 6, and a similar delivery chamber 8<a> and delivery branch 7. The disc is made in three parts a, b, c, held together by screws. The parts a, b have radial grooves in their meeting faces which together form the cylinders, and are cut away to form the central rectangular opening.
