Abstract

Interrupters, mechanical. - A circuit-breaker for heavy currents comprises a rotating electrode a with a series of members or sets of members c1 - - c4, d1 - - d4, Fig. 3, co-operating with a stationary electrode h positioned as shown in the container and electrolyte. Alternatively the electrode h may similarly be movable. In a modification, Fig. 5, the members c, d are parallel to the shaft b carrying the electrode, and these members may be provided with points l, l<1> at their lower ends, Fig. 6.
